It enables the integration of information displayed on mobile devices such as iPhones and iPads with data from various sources—including files, documents, GPS, cameras, voice recordings, and web pages—facilitating a more comprehensive user experience.
Key features include:
- The traditional IBM i 5250 user interface can be extended with additional elements such as pickers, menus, and improved navigation techniques. It also supports features like date pickers, image capture, audio recording, and location tracking.
- Organizations can benefit from increased application mobility without the need to modify existing RPG, COBOL, or CL program development methodologies.
The solution consists of a LongRange client component, which requires the corresponding LongRange server component to be installed on the IBM i system.
